Rachel Kutteruf, M.D., Generalist

About me
I am an anesthesiologist specializing in anesthesia for neurosurgical procedures, including surgery for brain tumors, aneurysms, vascular malformations, and complex spine conditions. In addition to neuroanesthesia, I also practice general anesthesia and care for patients undergoing general surgery, obstetric, and orthopedic procedures.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy spending time with my husband and son exploring the outdoors, running, hiking, skiing, and traveling.
Areas of clinical interest
I am interested in patient outcomes in spine and brain surgeries. I have conducted research to identify risk factors for intraoperative seizures during brain surgery and additional work investigating complications in spine surgery. I am also involved with the Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care as the Director of the Bibliography, which is an educational resource providing up-to- date literature on a variety of neuroanesthesia topics.
